The Last Year 2016 - 2017 ... Sorry for the Silence!

I must admit, I have been pretty useless at updating this blog over the last year. Not because I haven't done anything though! It's been a busy year with a lot going on. So I will give a quick 'Photo/Caption' of what I've been up to over the last year with more detailed, individual posts to follow soon!

October 2016 - Columbia's Director of Toughness Interview, Isle of Skye

57 hours, 1300 mile round trip, 30 hours of driving and 1 day on the Isle of Skye. So totally worth it! Even though I didn't get the job...

Looking over to the Trotternish Ridge from the Prison on the Quairing

Watch the final edit of the UK Interview HERE. I'm in the Yellow :)

The Hot Seat. Interviews being conducted on the Isle of Skye.

January 2017 - Skiing Corn Du, Brecon Beacons

Between breakfast and dinner, I was able to leave home, go skiing and pop into my mum's for a cuppa on the way home. The weather was pretty wild and navigation made tricky but I still managed to drop a cornice and ski from the summit of Corn Du back to Storey Arms car park.

March 2017 - La Grave & Ecrins Skiing

Looking down the Grand Triffide Couloir in La Grave. A classic steep descent of La Grave.

The Middle Triffide Couloir in La Grave. Steeper than the Grand Triffide and a whole lot more fun. Another classic of the area.

Skiing La Balme Summit couloir in Serre Chevalier.

Skiing the classic Itinerary of Serre Chevalier: Montagnolle.

Ski Touring in the Ecrins Massif.

March 2017 - Outlook Expeditions Training Weekend, Brecon Beacons

Scouting possible ski descent lines...?

That's most of it really. Along with stuff I have been doing with Army Cadet Force, it's been a pretty full on year! I'm off to Scotland next week with my girlfriend so wait out for more! And lets hope this winter brings sufficient snow and ice to the British Isles!!
